Schedule a Training

To get more information about or to schedule MVP Strategies leadership trainings on your campus, your private or public sector workplace, or in your community, please contact us at [email protected]. There are two general types of trainings available: on-site and open call. All trainings have similar content.

On-site trainings are scheduled upon request, hosted by the sponsoring party and held for 15-35 participants. Open call trainings are held once or twice a year in the Los Angeles area and in western Massachusetts. For descriptions of these two types of trainings, see below:

MVP Strategies staff conduct intensive three-day and two-day trainings to introduce participants to the philosophy and methods of the renowned Mentors in Violence Prevention (MVP) model for leadership in sexual assault, sexual harassment, and relationship abuse prevention — originally developed by Dr. Jackson Katz and colleagues.

Who should attend?

  • Leaders in the education, non-profit, and corporate sectors, community leaders, executive directors and other leaders in the DV/SA field, junior and senior military officers and NCOs, law enforcement officials, sports officials, and others.
  • Educators and trainers who want to develop the conceptual and practical tools to deliver MVP Strategies leadership trainings at all levels of organizational cultures in the public and private sectors.

The trainings feature a robust mix of lecture, facilitated dialogues, leadership exercises, and bystander scenarios. Participants will leave equipped with a strong sense of how to help leaders catalyze norms change in their sphere of influence, and in peer cultures large and small.

The trainings are conducted by a mixed-gender, racially integrated team of highly experienced MVP Strategies trainers [often including Jackson Katz].

MVP Strategies open-call trainings are scheduled on an occasional basis.

SAVE THE DATE:  The next MVP Strategies open-call training will be held in Amherst, MA on November 10, 11, 12, 2023.  Registration and fee information will be provided soon.
